One of the basic barriers encountered by blind person is the lack of access to graphical information such as photos, maps, drawings and figures.
The aim of the project is the gathering of new knowledge about presenting visual data to blind persons through touch and hearing, more precisely through interactive sonification. The project opens a new research direction on sonification of images, where a blind person interactively decides the pace and means of image exploration.
